Making Talks Work
How do resource management practitioners move talks from a polarised, ill feeling, distrustful state to constructive talks that get results? How effective are we at making talks work? This course aims to look at community conflict situations through a facilitator’s eyes, trying out approaches that encourage new insights into issues and experiencing skills in action that help build cooperation. How to respond to challenges, create safe talks, make progress and behave ethically are part of this course. Course approaches apply to small and large meetings and although designed for conflict situations the techniques also help prevent conflict.
